Just finished the battery eliminator and it works great on my Pilot
radio. It just needed an additional capacitor across the HT to reduce
mains hum. Many thanks.

Many thanks for this excellent web site. I currently have just one
vintage radio, which I've had since I was a kid. Recently decided
to get it out of the loft and get it working. Tips on this site, and
service data supplied by email, were very helpful.

- How did you find this site?: Alta Vista Images searching for Pye Transistor Radio - How long have you been collecting vintage radios?: Not really a collector but have had many radios since 1953 Crystal set days
This site is amazing. I only found it when looking for a photo of Pye
Transistor Portable of the kind I remember using at School in 1960. I
found a photo and the nostalgia came romping back. I didn't
realise that I could have been a closet Radio Collector!
Anyhow thanks for a really great site. Lots of work has gone into it
and research and particularly the photos are amazing. Next best thing
to owning some of these valuable items.
Shame I threw away so many radios.

An excellent web site that I have used for several years now. The
help I have had from it has enabled me to progress from absolutely no
knowledge to be more confident about repairing a radio. I always know
that here is help available via the discussion forum, the level of
technical knowledge by the subscribers there is awsome and is given
freely.
