- How long have you been collecting vintage radios?: Since age 7?, 43 years. But I just broke them up

My Decca mw/lw/vhf made in 1961? uses leading edge AC and AF transistors, and does not suffer radio breakthrough.

My Ultra of 1950's still works no restoration.

My HMV radiogram of 1970 does suffer from radio breakthrough. But the sound quality exceptionally good for a music centre or anything of that era.

I once had a beautifully well made working 6Volt AM valve car radio with a heavy cast compartmentalised body. I still have some of the bits from it.

Hi, Just dropped by to say hello... we picked up a TR82 today (original not a repro), our whole house is original 50s decor. Just wanted to say that for a change all it took was a new battery to get it working!!! Great site, keep it up.

Really like the site - have spent a lot of time exploring it. I'm restoring a Ferguson 603 at the moment, so also finding the technical info and forums very useful.

By the way, Paul - in case you're interested, there's a Ferguson 208 on ebay at the moment (not mine). You mentioned you'd like to add one to your collection.
