- How long have you been collecting vintage radios?: I'm not really a collecter just love retro and being reminded of my childhood radio days.

Thank god I stumbled on this sit. I have been looking for ages to find a local guy to look at my 1970's Dynatron Radiogram. I contacted Richard In Doncaster, and he said he would be glad to take a look. Wish I had found this sight before I put my Pye 1005 record player in the hands of a butcher.
Many Thanks.
Chris Witney.

Hi, Great site. It was intersting to see the Philco Five Star Baby grand. As a school boy I found one of these on some waste land in c.1979. Only the cabinet. My father reglued some loose veneer, vanished the cabinet and glued in a speaker grill made from a piece of old sack. I fitted two speakers. one was a fairly modern 8" and the other had its damaged cotton bag and cone removed and served a s a tweeter. The unit was fed by my 1974 ITT KB Tiny Super radio. My first Hi Fi !!!

- How did you find this site?: just typed in the name of my vintage machine in my web browser
- How long have you been collecting vintage radios?: Not a collector really - sorry!

I have an old EL 3302A/15P cassette recorder, of course, the Philips machine! What else can it be with that name! :)

As you no doubt know, the drive belts on all the old machines practially melted with age! I had 2 of the recorders plus a Philips reel to reel which I no longer have. I substituted the drive belts with others which seem to work okay. Is there any possibility of getting a manual for my recorder?

Interesting site, wish I had visited it before NOW!

Regards

I bought a reproduction model BUSH TR82B/WOOD for £14.99 . I am happy with my radio. OK, the classic early transistor radio, the TR82, may be better, etc., but for the money I paid, my reproduction is not that bad. The handle feels strong and the wood effect of the front/back is beautiful. I love the tuning dial as it is very easy to tune and find the stations. Soundwise, it is not a TIVOLI, but for the money I paid, FM is not bad either. I don't understand why some people paid "£50" for their
